Jumio Stands Out with Global PR Profile Outlook

The Challenge:

As a growing US-based identity management and credentials company, headquartered in Silicon Valley, that helps businesses reduce fraud and increase revenue. Jumio looked to strengthen its brand visibility into new geographical markets. Needing tangible results and fast, Jumio appointed SkyParlour to oversee all aspects of its EU public relations strategy. Working closely with a global communications team to develop and strengthen the image of its brand, SkyParlour was challenged to bolster Jumio’s profile to be known for incredible content as well as critically increase its visibility on a global scale.

David Pope, EMEA Marketing Director at Jumio, commented:

“At first I was sceptical of the need for a PR agency to help us drive our European campaigns. I am happy to say that SkyParlour proved me wrong. Their industry knowledge, creativity, professionalism and tenacity has been a key factor in the continued success of Jumio in Europe. Their ability to research, create and sell-in attractive, on message stories and campaigns is their hallmark.”

The Strategy

To achieve the desired results, SkyParlour set clear objectives and KPIs from the outset in line with Jumio’s sales objectives. This meant that SkyParlour was immediately a central part of Jumio’s marketing function, bringing strategic focus to Jumio’s marketing ambitions and therefore creating a winning partnership from the outset.

Producing a strategic and tailored annual PR plan encompassing creative thought leadership pieces and primary research to drafting winning award submissions, excellent media relations and varied content from weekly blogs to whitepapers, SkyParlour set out to raise Jumio’s profile. Our strategic plan on a global basis required the SkyParlour team to work in close collaboration with Jumio’s US PR agency, whilst at the same time align our communications plan to actively support Jumio’s sales efforts in the UK.

To get Jumio noticed by the right audience, SkyParlour focused specifically on three key sectors including Financial Services, Travel and Gambling. Following SkyParlour’s proactive media outreach, Jumio was successfully placed in the top media titles including Travel Weekly, iGamingBusiness and Financial Times as well as national media such as the Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.

As part of SkyParlour’s continuous creative work with Jumio, the team collaborated to develop an original campaign. The ‘Abandonment campaign’ required SkyParlour to manage an entire survey process, including the composition of the questionnaire, analysis of the results and contextualising the evidence in the macro environment. This campaign alone resulted in 70 pieces of organic coverage and a circulation of readers of approximately 4,264,832.
